Therapy is a collaborative process between the Psychologist and the client and a relationship forms the basis for transformation. All Therapy is tailored to the individual's needs and what fits them. I work with all people, from adolescents to adults in short-term or long-term therapy.
Many teenagers find it difficult to talk to their parents, or their parents are simply not involved, or they are not able to talk to their friends. Adolescence is a unique development phase and in Therapy, it is important for a Psychologist to enter the teenager's world and to understand their environment and experiences from their perspective while creating a safe environment for them to talk in.

Is There A Difference In Talking To You Rather Than A Friend Or Family Member?The big difference is talking to someone who has the training to facilitate the process of what you are thinking and feeling.
Can't I Just Take Medication?Medication is effective, but does not solve problems. Medication and therapy are the best combination. In therapy, we collaborate to find your strengths so that you can achieve the goals you set for therapy.
What Do We Do In Sessions?Each person is different with different issues and goals. I tailor my approach to your specific needs.
How long will it take?This is not possible to say as each person's circumstances are unique and the length of time it can take to allow you to accomplish your goals depends on your desire for personal development, your commitment and the factors that are driving you to seek counselling in the first place.
